Born in Manisa in 1989, Aycan Altungül completed her primary and high school education here. In 2009, she got accepted to Dokuz Eylül University Buca Education Faculty Music Pedagogy Department in Izmir and graduated from the same institution in 2013. During her bachelor education, she studied piano with Prof. Dr. S. Nergiz Şakirzade Sarı andsinging with Oğuzhan Şahin. Later on in 2014, she got accepted to masters degree in Pamukkale University Institute of Educational Sciences, Department of Music Education and then successfully graduated from there. During her education in this institution she studied piano with Prof. Aykut Yafe who is a faculty member of Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory in Izmir. Between 2017-2019, she worked with pianist Özlem Ebesek, lecturer at Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory, on accompaniment for singers.
Ms. Altungül worked as accompanist of Buca District National Children's Choir between 2010-2011 and then as a lecturer in Dokuz Eylül University Buca Education Faculty Music Pedagogy Department between 2015-2018, where she gave piano and accompaniment lessons. In addition, in 2015, she was the music director and choral conductor of the R. Korsakov’s Scheherazade Symphonic Suite, which was staged in the form of a musical play, organized with the support of Izmir State Opera and Ballet under the direction of Chief Mehmet Girgin.
In various masterclasses she worked with distinguished artists such Elif Şahin, Cornelius Witthoeft (solo piano and lied accompaniment), Volker Hempfling, Sabine Horstmann, Elisenda Carrasco, Hans-Dieter Reinecke and Anne Christine Weidmann (choir conducting).
In particular, the International Ohrid Choirs Festival; Aycan Altungül worked as accompanist in all national choral festivals and since 2018 November she works as accompanist of Narlıdere Municipality Polyphonic Choir, Tobav Nural Altar Polyphonic Choir and TRT Izmir Radio Polyphonic Children's Choir.
