Semplice Quartet | String Quartet

Semplice Quartet received “Chamber Music Group of the Year” at the “Donizetti Classical Music Awards” organized for the 6th time by Andante Magazine in 2016. Their successful concert performances and wide repertoire ranging from baroque to the present periods, and their multi-disciplinary projects proved Semplice Quartet to be a long-lasting and unique ensemble. Making a name for themselves with their performance at the Royal Academy of Brussels, the ensemble gave numerous concerts in almost all concert halls in Istanbul and music festivals in Turkey.

Members of Semplice Quartet were invited to the “Young Artist” program with a scholarship from Apple Hill Chamber Music Center in the US, had the opportunity to work with Lenny Matcznyski and gave many concerts with the artist.

The ensemble, which also attaches importance to social responsibility projects, carried out joint projects with IBB City Theaters, Afyonkarahisar Classical Music Festival and Bosch Young Classical Musicians Festival, where they were the guest of honor, and performed highly-acclaimed performances to introduce classical music to children.

Semplice Quartet, attracting the attention of the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts with their many successes; In 2015, they were invited to the 43rd Istanbul Music Festival and gave a concert at the Sabancı Museum. Right after their performance, they received an offer from the Aix-en-Provence Festival in France, gave concerts there and participated in masterclasses.

They studied with Johannes Meissl, Vida Lukic, Evgenia Epstein and Josef Kluson in Vienna’s ISA Festival. Right after, they were accepted to Johannes Meissl’s class and continued their chamber music education here for two years.

Semplice Quartet’s vision is, each one of them being members of the distinguished orchestras of Turkey, to continue enjoying the pleasure they get while making music together and to convey this pleasure to their audience.
